The NGXASI advanced today by 0.44% to close at 97,456.62pts as investors buy interest in FBNH (+9.85%), ETI (+9.95%) and ZENITHBANK (+2.70%) drove the local equities market into the green zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed downwards driven by selloffs particularly on the mid tenor instrument. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield rose by 33bps to close at 20.28%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market traded negatively as the Average FGN Bond yield increased by 5bps to close at 18.84%.
At the NAFEM window, the Naira closed at NGN1,649.76/USD as of yesterday. Crude oil price (Brent) settled lower by 0.10% to USD71.90pb.
