NGXASI Declines -0.19% on Losses in FBNH, OANDO, STANBIC

The NGXASI declined today by 0.19% to close at 98,049.04pts as investors selloff their shares in FBNH (-9.88%), OANDO (-4.76%) and STANBIC (-3.51%) drove the Nigerian bourse into the negative territory.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed downwards driven by selloffs observed within the short and mid tenor instruments. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield rose by 25bps to close at 20.70%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond market traded on a bullish note as the Average FGN Bond yield decreased by 24bp to close at 18.59%.

At the NAFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 0.28% to close at NGN1,647.37/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) increased by 1.98% to USD75.11pb.
