The NGXASI advanced today by 0.42% to close at 98,987.42pts as investors increased their stakes in SEPLAT (+10.00%), OANDO (+4.17%) and UBA (+3.94%) which drove the Nigerian bourse into the positive territory.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed downwards driven by the negative sentiment observed across all tenor instruments. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield rose by 108bps to close at 21.82%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market traded on a bearish note as the Average FGN Bond yield increased by 4bps to close at 18.72%.
At the NAFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 0.54% to close at NGN1,667.42/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 1.45% to USD74.08pb.
