NGXASI Gains -0.47%, Buoyed by UBA, SEPLAT, Julius Berger

The NGXASI advanced today by 0.47% to close at 97,520.54pts as buying interest in SEPLAT (+10.00%), JBERGER (+7.14%) and UBA (+1.30%) pushed the equities market into the positive terrain.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market exhibited a negative performance amidst the sell pressure noticed at the short end of the curve. Thus, Average T-Bills yield rose by 12bps to close at 22.68%. However, the FGN Bond market traded on a slightly positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield moderated by 1bp to close at 19.08%.

At the NAFEM window, the Naira strengthened by 1.69% to close at NGN1,631.21/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) increased by 1.51% to USD78.79pb.
