NGXASI Declines -0.10% on Losses in Blue Chips

The NGXASI declined today by 0.10% to close at 97,487.14pts as losses in OANDO (-3.45%), UBA (-1.82%) and FBNH (-1.73%) drove the domestic bourse into the negative terrain.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed up as we observed buying pressure on the short and long end of the curve. As such, Average T-Bills yield fell by 6bps to close at 22.87%. However, the FGN Bond market traded on a flattish note as the Average FGN Bond yield remained unchanged to close at 19.08%.

At the NAFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 4.06% to close at NGN1,625.13/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) settled lower by 0.73% to USD76.62pb.
