The NGXASI advanced today by 0.62% to close at 98,215.13pts as the positive sentiment seen in stocks such GTCO (+1.84%), OANDO (+2.71%) and DANGSUGAR (+3.06%) drove the local bourse into the positive zone.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed slightly positive majorly due to the optimistic sentiment observed across all tenors of the curve. As such, Average T-Bills yield fell by 5bps to close at 23.11%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond market traded on a quiet note as the Average FGN Bond yield remained unchanged to close at 19.10%.

At the NAFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 5.38% to close at NGN1,552.92/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) settled lower by 2.16% to USD77.33pb.
