The NGXASI ended the day on a positive note as it advanced by 0.25% to close at 99,189.95pts as buy interests in ACCESSCORP (+9.95%), FBNH (+3.23%) and ZENITHBANK (+1.78%) drove the local bourse into the positive territory.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed in the positive region, driven by the bullish sentiments observed across all tenors of the curve. As such, Average T-Bills yield fell by 5bps to close at 24.06%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market traded on a bullish note as the Average FGN Bond yield declined by 3bps to close at 19.31%.
At the NAFEM window, the Naira strengthened by 3.20% to close at NGN1,601.20/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 0.93% to USD74.26pb.
