The NGXASI ended the day on a positive note as it advanced by 0.26% to close at 99,448.91pts as buy interests in STANBIC (+8.64%), UNILEVER (+4.90%) and UBA (+3.79%) drove the local bourse into the positive territory.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed in the negative region, driven by the bearish sentiments observed across the mid tenors of the curve. As such, Average T-Bills yield rose by 12bps to close at 24.18%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market traded on a flattish note as the Average FGN Bond yield remained constant to close at 19.31%.
At the NAFEM window, the Naira strengthened by 0.07% to close at NGN1,600.00/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) gained by 1.99% to USD75.86pb.
