NGXASI Declines -0.38% on Losses in Dangote Sugar, FBNH, TRANSCORP

The NGXASI declined today by 0.38% to close at 97,651.23pts, given the negative bias observed on TRANSCORP (-1.96%), FBNH (-1.32%) and DANGSUGAR (-2.22%) which drove the domestic bourse into the red.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a slightly positive note amidst the buying interest noticed across the benchmark curve. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield moderated by 1bp to close at 24.12%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market traded positively as the Average FGN Bond yield moderated by 2bps to close at 19.49%.

At the NAFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 2.72% to close at NGN1,675.49/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 0.87% to USD73.18pb.
