NGXASI Declines by -0.25% on Losses in BUACEMENT. CONOIL, OANDO

The NGXASI declined today by 0.25% to close at 97,233.07pts, as the losses observed in BUACEMENT (-5.93%), OANDO (-3.23%) and CONOIL (-6.15%) drove the local equities market into the negative region.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market trended upwards today as we observed optimistic sentiment across all tenor instruments. As such, Average T-Bills yield inched moderated by 1bp to close at 23.93%. However, the FGN Bond market traded on a flattish note as the Average FGN Bond yield remained unchanged to close at 19.41%.

At the NAFEM window, the Naira weakened by 0.29% to close at NGN1,650.20/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 0.55% to USD72.68pb.
