The NGXASI advanced today by 0.51% to close at 97,725.64pts, as the buy-interest observed in BUACEMENT (+3.80%), WAPCO (+8.39%) and GTCO (+2.75%) drove the Nigerian bourse into the positive territory.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market was negative today as we observed sell pressure across all the short and long tenor instruments. As such, Average T-Bills yield inched higher by 22bp to close at 24.15%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market traded on a bearish note as the Average FGN Bond yield increased by 2bps to close at 19.43%.
At the NAFEM window, the Naira weakened by 0.12% to close at NGN1,652.25/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) fell by 1.58% to USD71.41pb.
