The NGXASI advanced today by 0.23% to close at 97,972.33pts, as the bullish sentiment seen in WAPCO (+10.00%), MTNN (+1.18%) and GTCO (+1.17%) drove the local bourse into the positive territory.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market was positive today as yields had declined across all tenor instruments. As such, Average T-Bills yield fell by 2bps to close at 24.09%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond market traded on a flattish note as the Average FGN Bond yield remained unchanged to close at 19.44%.

At the NAFEM window, the Naira strengthened by 0.68% to close at NGN1,678.93/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) fell by 0.22% to USD73.14pb.
