The NGXASI advanced today by 0.26% to close at 98,227.50pts, as the upward movement observed in WAPCO (+9.98%), ZENITHBANK (+2.05%) and DANGSUGAR (+7.33%) drove the local bourse into the positive territory.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market was positive today as yields had declined across all tenor instruments. As such, Average T-Bills yield fell by 2bps to close at 24.07%. Likewise, the FGN Bond market traded on an optimistic note as the Average FGN Bond yield fell by 3bps to close at 19.41%.

At the NAFEM window, the Naira strengthened by 0.51% to close at NGN1,687.52/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 0.05% to USD73.35pb.
