NGXASI Declines -0.18%, Dragged by ACCESS, GTCO, OANDO

The NGXASI declined today by 0.18% to close at 98,050.12pts, as the selling pressure noted in OANDO (-5.59%), GTCO (-2.50%) and ACCESSCORP (-3.36%) drove the local bourse into the red zone.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market was mostly flat today as yields had shown little movement on the mid and long tenor instruments. As such, Average T-Bills yield was unchanged to close at 24.07%. Likewise, the FGN Bond market traded on a flattish note as the Average FGN Bond yield also remained unchanged to close at 19.41%.

At the NAFEM window, the Naira strengthened by 1.71% to close at NGN1,658.67/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 1.26% to USD73.73pb.
