NGXASI Dips +0.21% to Open Week, Dragged by GTCO, ZENITHBANK, STANBIC

The NGXASI declined today by 0.21% to close at 97,626.27pts, as the profit taking observed in GTCO (-3.39%), ZENITHBANK (-2.71%) and STANBIC (-3.09%) propelled the Nigerian equities market into the negative zone.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market exhibited a positive performance as yields retraced on most instruments across the curve. As such, Average T-Bills yield fell by 5bps to close at 23.98%. However, the FGN Bond market was mostly flat today as the Average FGN Bond yield remained unchanged at 19.40%.

At the NAFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 1.39% to close at NGN1,675.62/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) contracted by 2.65% to USD73.18pb.
