The NGXASI inched up today by 0.01% to close at 97,639.88pts, as the gains recorded in WAPCO (+9.15%), ZENITHBANK (+0.93%) and STANBIC (+1.31%) drove the local bourse into the green.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded negatively due to the rise in yields across the short and mid tenor instruments. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield rose by 6bps to close at 24.04%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market was slightly negative as the Average FGN Bond yield inched up by 1bp to close at 19.41%.
At the NAFEM window, the Naira strengthened by 0.97% to close at NGN1,659.44/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) increased by 1.08% to USD73.80pb.
