Bears Resurface as NGXASI Dips -0.03% on Losses in INTBREW, STERLINGNG

The NGXASI declined by 0.03% today to close at 97,702.56pts, as losses in INTBREW (-2.44%), UACN (-2.44%) and STERLINGNG (-1.04%) drove the domestic bourse into the red terrain.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a negative note, largely due to selloffs on the short and mid tenor instruments. As such, Average T-Bills yield rose by 30bps to close at 25.42%. Meanwhile, the FGN Bond market closed flat as the Average FGN Bond yield remained unchanged at 19.46%.

At the NAFEM window, the Naira remained unchanged to close at NGN1,672.69/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 1.91% to USD73.20pb.
