NGXASI Dips 1.47%, Dragged by DANGCEM, GTCO, WAPIC

The NGXASI declined further by 1.47% today to close at 102,095.95pts as the bearish sentiment seen in DANGCEM (-9.99%), WAPIC (-9.57%) and GTCO (-1.04%) drove the local equities market into the negative region.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a positive note, driven by the gains observed across all tenors of the curve. As such, Average T-Bills yield rose by 11bps to close at 25.24%. Meanwhile, the FGN Bond market traded on a bearish note as the Average FGN Bond yield rose by 3bps to close at 19.96%.

At the NAFEM window, the Naira declined by 0.09% to close at NGN1,551.10/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) surged by 2.13% to USD81.62pb.
