Nigerian Stocks Advance +0.19% on Gains in Bellwether Counters

The NGXASI advanced by 0.19% today to close at 104,744.43pts, as gains in DANGCEM (+2.34%), TRANSCORP (+3.49%) and OANDO (+2.01%) drove the local bourse into the green zone.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed positive following buy pressure observed across the curve. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield fell by 4bps to close at 23.41%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market closed on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield declined by 8bps to close at 20.62%.

According to the FMDQ FX closing rate, the Naira appreciated by 1.64% to close at NGN1,485.95/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) ticked higher by 0.95% to USD77.31pb.
