The NGXASI surged by 1.17% today to close at 107,822.53pts, as gains witnessed in TRANSCOHOT (+9.99%), DANGCEM (+3.88%) and TRANSCORP (+1.84%) drove the local bourse into the positive zone.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed positive as yields had declined across all tenors of the curve. As such, Average T-Bills yield fell by 10bps to close at 22.19%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market closed on a bullish note as the Average FGN Bond yield fell by 2bps to close at 20.33%.

According to the FMDQ FX closing rate, the Naira depreciated by 0.35% to close at NGN1,511.63/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) receded by 1.73% to USD75.67pb.
