NGXASI Sustain Bullish Run +1.25%, Driven by Bellwether Counters

The NGXASI boosted by 1.25% today to close at 109,171.82pts, as gains witnessed in DANGCEM (+10.00%), ETI (+8.12%) and GTCO (+0.79%) drove the local bourse into the positive zone.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed positive as yields had declined across all tenors of the curve. As such, Average T-Bills yield fell by 2bps to close at 22.17%. Meanwhile, the FGN Bond market closed on a bearish note as the Average FGN Bond yield rose by 1bp to close at 20.34%.

According to the FMDQ FX closing rate, the Naira depreciated by 0.23% to close at NGN1,515.06/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 0.25% to USD74.99pb.
