NGXASI Dips -0.11% on Losses in TRANSCORP, GTCO, UBA

The NGXASI declined by 0.11% today to close at 107,937.74pts, as losses recorded in TRANSCORP (-1.67%), GTCO (-0.71%) and UBA (-0.90%) pushed the domestic equities market into the negative terrain.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a slightly positive note given the buying interest recorded across the curve. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield declined by 4bps to close at 22.04%. Likewise, the FGN Bond market ended on a marginally positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield moderated by 1bp to close at 20.24%.

According to the FMDQ FX closing rate, the Naira weakened by 0.19% to close at NGN1,512.58/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) increased by 0.33% to USD74.99pb.
