NGXASI Dips -0.25% on Losses in FBNH, ZENITHBANK WAPCO

The NGXASI declined by 0.25% today to close at 107,670.98pts, due to the profit taking seen in FBNH (-2.77%), ZENITHBANK (-1.36%) and WAPCO (-1.34%) drove the local bourse into the red.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market exhibited a positive performance, driven by the buying interest observed across the curve. Against this backdrop, Average T-Bills yield decreased by 7bps to close at 21.97%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market traded on a bullish note as the Average FGN Bond yield fell by 21bps to close at 20.03%.

According to the FMDQ FX closing rate, the Naira strengthened by 0.15% to close at NGN1,510.33/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) increased by 0.53% to USD75.62pb.
