ACCESS, FIDELITY, ZENITHBANK Drags NGXASI to -0.04% Loss

The NGXASI declined by 0.04% today to close at 108,568.50pts, as the decrease in the share price of ACCESSCORP (-2.18%), ZENITHBANK (-0.99%) and FIDELITYBK (-2.63%) pushed the local equities market into the negative terrain.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market exhibited a bullish performance amid the notable decline in yields across the curve. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield plunged by 175bps to close at 20.21%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market closed positive as the Average FGN Bond yield retraced by 13bps to close at 19.79%.

According to the FMDQ FX closing rate, the Naira strengthened by 1.03% to close at NGN1,494.03/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 0.83% to USD76.67pb.
