The NGXASI declined by 0.34% today to close at 108,126.97pts, as the losses recorded in FBNH (-4.07%), TRANSCORP (-3.14%) and ZENITHBANK (-2.02%) drove the domestic bourse into the red zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a positive note, driven by buying interest observed on the short and long end of the benchmark curve. As such, Average T-Bills yield fell by 21bps to close at 19.99%. Likewise, the FGN Bond market exhibited a bearish performance as the Average FGN Bond yield rose by 3bps to close at 19.51%.
According to the FMDQ FX closing rate, the Naira weakened by 0.17% to close at NGN1,503.63/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) ticked higher by 0.24% to USD74.61pb.
