The NGXASI declined by 0.32% today to close at 107,781.78pts, as the losses recorded in OANDO (-9.72%), GTCO (-0.79%) and ZENITHBANK (-0.83%) drove the domestic bourse into the red zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a positive note, largely due to buy pressure at the long end of the benchmark curve. As such, Average T-Bills yield moderated by 3bps to close at 19.96%. Likewise, the FGN Bond market closed positive as the Average FGN Bond yield slumped by 43bps to close at 19.08%.
According to the FMDQ FX closing rate, the Naira appreciated by 0.15% to close at NGN1,501.42/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) settled lower by 2.18% to USD73.15pb.
