NGXASI Losses -0.11%, Dragged by ETI, FBNH, WAPCO

The NGXASI declined by 0.11% today to close at 107,675.46pts, as losses recorded in ETI (-9.51%), WAPCO (-3.23%) and FBNH (-0.67%) drove the domestic bourse into the red terrain.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a bullish note, largely due to buy pressure seen across the benchmark curve. As such, Average T-Bills yield moderated by 3bps to close at 19.91%. Likewise, the FGN Bond market closed bullish as the Average FGN Bond yield fell by 23bps to close at 18.62%.

According to the FMDQ FX closing rate, the Naira appreciated by 0.05% to close at NGN1,498.28/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) edged higher by 1.97% to USD73.96pb.
