The NGXASI declined by 0.44% today to close at 106,436.48pts, as selloffs observed in TRANSCORP (-8.19%), ZENITHBANK (-1.78%) and NB (-5.59%) drove the domestic bourse into the red zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a positive note, mostly driven by the optimistic sentiment seen across all tenor instruments. As such, Average T-Bills yield moderated by 1bp to close at 19.78%. Likewise, the FGN Bond market remained unchanged as the Average FGN Bond yield closed flat at 18.42%.
According to the NFEM closing rate, the Naira depreciated by 0.20% to close at NGN1,505.00/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 3.74% to USD68.38pb.
