The NGXASI advanced by 0.32% today to close at 106,436.48pts, as selloffs observed in TRANSCORP (+9.98%), UBA (+2.78%) and DANGSUGAR (+4.35%) drove the domestic bourse into the positive region.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a positive note, mostly driven by the optimistic sentiment seen across all tenor instruments. As such, Average T-Bills yield shed 69bps to close at 19.09%. Otherwise, the FGN Bond market was negative as the Average FGN Bond yield rose by 4bps to close at 18.46%.
According to the NFEM closing rate, the Naira depreciated by 1% to close at NGN1,520.00/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 0.78% to USD68.76pb.
