The NGXASI rose by 0.08% today to close at 106,621.91pts, as buy-ins observed in TRANSCORP (+9.91%), DANGSUGAR (+8.11%) and ACCESSCORP (+2.31%) drove the domestic bourse into the green zone.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a flattish note, mostly driven by the tepid activities across the short end of the curve. As such, Average T-Bills yield traded flat to close at 19.16%. Meanwhile, the FGN Bond market was positive as the Average FGN Bond yield fell by 2bp to close at 18.43%.

According to the NFEM closing rate, the Naira appreciated by 0.91% to close at NGN1,528.00/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 1.62% to USD69.22pb.
