NGXASI Gains +0.12%, Buoyed by Bellwether Counters

The NGXASI rose by 0.12% today to close at 106,220.62pts, as positive sentiments observed in INTBREW (+9.62%), NB (+3.23%) and ZENITHBANK (+0.52%) drove the domestic bourse into the green zone.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a bearish note, mostly driven by the selloffs noted on the mid end of the curve. As such, Average T-Bills yield traded rose by 2bps to close at 19.18%. Meanwhile, the FGN Bond market was bullish as the Average FGN Bond yield fell marginally by 1bp to close at 18.43%.

According to the NFEM closing rate, the Naira remained constant to close at NGN1,546.00/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 1.54% to USD69.86pb.
