NGXASI Dips -0.21%, Dragged by DANGSUGAR, GEREGU, UNILEVER

The NGXASI depreciated by 0.21% today to close at 105,995.32pts, as selloffs observed in DANGSUGAR (-7.76%), UNILEVER (-5.75%) and GEREGU (-0.74%) drove the domestic bourse into the red zone.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a bullish note, mostly driven by the buy ins noted across all ends of the curve. As such, Average T-Bills yield traded fell by 1bp to close at 19.17%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond market was bearish as the Average FGN Bond yield climbed marginally by 3bps to close at 18.46%.

According to the NFEM closing rate, the Naira appreciated by 0.06% to close at NGN1,548.00/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) appreciated by 0.76% to USD70.41pb.
