The NGXASI declined by 0.40% today to close at 105,375.69pts, as the profit taking in BUACEMENT (-10.00%), UBA (-2.61%) and WEMABANK (-4.19%) propelled the Nigerian bourse into the red.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a slightly positive note on the back of the buying interest amongst investors across the benchmark curve. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield moderated by 1bp to close at 19.25%. However, the FGN Bond market exhibited a bearish performance as the Average FGN Bond yield increased by 12bps to close at 18.59%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira weakened by 0.32% to close at NGN1,532.93/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) decreased by 0.37% to USD70.81pb.
