The NGXASI declined by 0.05% today to close at 104,858.77pts, as the bearish bias observed in ZENITHBANK (-1.34%), ACCESSCORP (-1.79%) and CUSTODIAN (-6.98%) pushed the local bourse into the negative zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market exhibited a slightly positive performance driven by the buying interest noticed across the benchmark curve. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield moderated by 1bp to close at 19.23%. However, the FGN Bond market traded on a negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield inched up by 4bps to close at 18.63%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira depreciated marginally by 0.01% to close at NGN1,530.62/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) increased by 1.41% to USD71.78pb.
