The NGXASI advanced by 0.10% today to close at 104,962.96pts, as the gains recorded in UBA (+5.75%), OANDO (+5.59%) and FIDELITYBK (+5.29%) drove the Nigerian equities market into the green.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on negative note given the rise in yields at the long end of the benchmark curve. As such, Average T-Bills yield increased by 5bps to close at 19.28%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market exhibited a bearish performance as the Average FGN Bond yield rose by 12bps to close at 18.75%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira weakened by 0.41% to close at NGN1,536.89/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) inched up by 0.03% to USD72.02pb.
