The NGXASI advanced by 0.56% today to close at 105,551.39pts, as buy pressure especially in banking stocks like GTCO (+6.53%), ZENITHBANK (+5.04%) and UBA (+2.72%) drove the domestic bourse into the green Zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed up driven by positive sentiment observed at the short end of the benchmark curve. As such, Average T-Bills yield declined by 3bps to close at 19.25%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market exhibited a positive performance as the Average FGN Bond yield fell by 7bps to close at 18.68%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.37% to close at NGN1,531.19/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) edged higher by 1.36% to USD73.14pb.
