The NGXASI declined by 0.06% today to close at 105,426.12pts, as selloffs in OANDO (-3.80%), FIRSTHOLDCO (-2.44%) and ZENITHBANK (-2.25%) drove the domestic bourse into the red terrain.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed negative driven by bearish sentiment observed on the short and mid tenor instruments. As such, Average T-Bills yield increased by 22bps to close at 19.45%. Likewise, the FGN Bond market traded on a negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield increased by 4bps to close at 18.70%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 0.07% to close at NGN1,538.66/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) edged higher by 0.26% to USD73.98pb.
