The NGXASI declined by 0.18% today to close at 104,187.00pts, as sell-offs in ETI (-10.00%), UBA (-2.58%) and GTCO (-1.74%) drove the local equities market into the red zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed bearish driven by selloffs observed across the short and long tenor instruments. As such, Average T-Bills yield boosted by 67bps to close at 21.18%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market traded on a negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield climbed by 7ps to close at 18.82%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira traded on a flat note to close at NGN1,611.55/USD (1-day lag). Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 1.83% to USD63.97pb.
