The NGXASI declined by 0.03% today to close at 104,529.62pts, as the selling interest in UBA (-3.10%), STANBIC (-4.76%) and FIDELITYBK (-6.19%) pushed the Nigerian bourse into the red zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed negative amid the sell pressure noticed across the curve which forced yields higher. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield rose by 8bps to close at 21.13%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market traded on a bearish note as the Average FGN Bond yield increased by 20bps to close at 19.04%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira weakened by 0.04% close at NGN1,604.48/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 0.63% to USD64.35pb.
