The NGXASI advanced by 0.48% today to close at 104,744.98pts, as the gains recorded in NB (+9.94%), UBA (+2.80%) and ZENITHBANK (+2.27%) drove the domestic equities market into the green zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a negative note, majorly driven by selloffs on the mid tenor instruments. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield rose by 10bps to close at 21.00%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market traded on a negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield slightly increased by 1bp to close at 18.99%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira weakened slightly by 0.17% to close at NGN1,602.63/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) ticked higher by 2.05% to USD67.62pb.
