The NGXASI advanced by 0.35% today to close at 106,124.14pts, as the optimistic sentiment observed in GTCO (+6.35%), TRANSCORP (+6.28%) and WAPCO (+2.10%) drove the domestic equities market into the positive region.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market started the week positive driven by the strong positive sentiment noted along the short end of the curve. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield decreased by 4bp to close at 20.79%. However, the FGN Bond market traded on a flat note as the Average FGN Bond yield remained unchanged to close at 19.02%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 0.02% to close at NGN1,599.95/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) fell by 1.99% to USD65.54pb.
