The NGXASI declined by 0.12% today to close at 105,800.85pts, as the bearish sentiment observed in GTCO (-3.54%), ETI (-10.00%) and ACCESSCORP (-6.44%) drove the domestic equities market into the negative region.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market remained positive as the bullish sentiment prolonged for another day along the short and long end of the curve. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield fell by 4bps to close at 20.73%. However, the FGN Bond market remained in the negative territory as the Average FGN Bond yield was up by 2bps to close at 19.05%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.19% to close at NGN1,596.69/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) fell by 1.76% to USD63.12pb.
