The NGXASI declined by 0.24% today to close at 108,467.98pts, as the losses recorded in MTNN (-2.07%), SEPLAT (-1.95%) and WAPCO (-4.88%) drove the Nigerian bourse into the negative terrain.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a slightly positive note driven by the buying interest noticed at the short end of the curve. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield moderated by 2bps to close at 20.95%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market was marginally positive as the Average FGN Bond yield moderated by 1bp to close at 19.06%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.36% to close at NGN1,600.44/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 2.02% to USD65.20pb.
