The NGXASI advanced by 0.22% today to close at 109,710.64pts, driven by the gains printed in ACCESSCORP (+6.82%), WAPCO (+1.92%) and HONYFLOUR (+10.00%) which pushed the local equities market into the positive zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a bullish note as yields declined across the curve amid buying interest from investors. As a result, Average T-Bills yield decreased by 9bps to close at 20.84%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond market traded on a slightly positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield moderated by 1bp to close at 19.03%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.04% to close at NGN1,598.72/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) increased by 1.30% to USD65.37pb.
