Nigerian Equities Dip -0.40% on Selloffs in Bellwether Counters

The NGXASI declined by 0.40% today to close at 109,183.93pts, driven by selloffs in FIDELITYBK (-6.97%), DANGSUGAR (-5.91%) and TRANSCORP (-4.44%) which drove the domestic equities market into the red terrain.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a bullish note as we observed buy pressure across the benchmark curve. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield declined by 7bps to close at 20.72%. Likewise, the FGN Bond market traded on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield declined by 5bps to close at 19.00%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira closed at NGN1,584.50/USD yesterday. Crude oil price (Brent) settled lower by 1.26% to USD64.09pb.
