The NGXASI advanced by 0.85% today to close at 109,953.12pts, as the positive sentiment in BUAFOODS (+5.26%), ZENITHBANK (+1.79%) and FIRSTHOLDCO (+2.39%) drove the domestic bourse into the positive region.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a bullish note mostly due to buy-ins seen at the shorter end of the benchmark curve. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield fell by 5bps to close at 20.74%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond market traded on a quiet note as the Average FGN Bond yield remained flat to close at 18.99%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.07% to close at NGN1,579.41/USD yesterday. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 0.05% to USD64.75pb.
