The NGXASI advanced by 1.50% today to close at 111,606.22pts, as the positive sentiment in AIRTELAFRI (+10.00%), GTCO (+2.05%) and WAPCO (+3.09%) drove the domestic bourse into the positive region.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market continued its bullish sentiment due to the positive momentum seen at the longer end of the benchmark curve. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield fell by 3bps to close at 20.71%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond market traded on a quiet note as the Average FGN Bond yield moderated by 1bp to close at 18.98%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 0.27% to close at NGN1,583.74/USD yesterday. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 1.17% to USD63.98pb.
