According to the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission’s (NUPRC) recently released Oil Production Status Report for May 2025, Nigeria’s crude oil production—including condensates—averaged 1.66 million barrels per day (mbpd), representing a 1.54% month-on-month decline from the 1.68 mbpd recorded in April.
Excluding condensates, production fell by 2.20% to 1.45 mbpd in May from 1.49 mbpd in April. Daily production in the month of May ranged between a low of 1.61 mbpd and a peak of 1.81 mbpd.
