The NGXASI advanced by 0.92% today to close at 117,861.93pts, as gains in the share price of FIRSTHOLDCO (+5.71%), STANBIC (+5.59%) and MTNN (+1.69%) drove the local bourse into the green zone.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a bullish note as investors unmet bid at the Primary market auction filtered into the secondary market. As such, Average T-Bills yield declined by 15bps to close at 20.42%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market traded on a positive as the Average FGN Bond yield fell by 19bps to close at 18.64%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira slightly depreciated by 0.01% to close at NGN1,549.42/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) edged higher by 1.59% to USD77.92pb.
