NGXASI Dips -0.01% on Losses in Industrial Goods, Banking Counters

The NGXASI declined by 0.01% today to close at 119,978.57pts, as the losses recorded in WAPCO (-3.00%), GTCO (-1.52%) and ZENITHBANK (-1.81%) drove the local bourse into the red zone.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a relatively positive note driven by the decline in yields across the curve amid buying interest from investors. As such, the Average T-Bills yield moderated by 3bps to close at 20.20%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond market traded on a tepid note as the Average FGN Bond yield stayed unchanged at 18.44%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.62% to close at NGN1,529.71/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) decreased by 0.21% to trade at USD67.63pb.
